ERP Firm Acumatica Expands Shopify Partnership

Acumatica has expanded on its relationship with Shopify, the cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) company said in a Tuesday (July 12) press release.

Acumatica is supporting Shopify’s new B2B solution, which enables merchants to employ Shopify to manage B2B and direct-to-consumer (D2C) stores in a single platform, the release stated.

Acumatica said in the release the Shopify B2B solution will roll out to Acumatica customers in two phases: one in September as part of the company’s semiannual product update; and the next in the first quarter of 2023.

The solution builds on Acumatica’s native Shopify integration and lets merchants manage their B2B omnichannel sales experience with a solution that combines essential business data, no manual data entry needed, according to the release.

“Our ongoing partnership with Shopify has allowed us to provide our customers with innovative business management solutions that help them scale their online and in-store retail operations,” said Acumatica Director of Product Management Josh Fischer in the release. “We worked closely with Shopify to develop a B2B solution that would seamlessly integrate with Acumatica Cloud ERP. The integration is designed to deliver a truly streamlined buying experience to wholesalers and their buyers.”

In related news Tuesday, eCommerce solutions platform Digital River launched a partnership with commercetools, integrating Digital River’s services of tax, payments, compliance and fraud mitigation into commercetools’ B2B and B2C eCommerce platform.
