Supply chain and business process management company Corbus and procurement service provider GIS International have formed a strategic partnership and said they will offer their clients more effective and efficient supply chain management.
With the partnership, the companies will offer complementary procurement and supply chain services based on GIS’ integrated supply chain and vendor management capabilities in Europe and Corbus’ procurement and sourcing experience in the United States and India, the companies said Monday (Nov. 7) in a press release.
“This partnership now provides both our companies the ability to utilize their infrastructure and resources across North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Africa,” Corbus President Steve Catanzarita said in the release.
The partnership will enable the companies to offer sourcing and procurement services, tail-end spend management, vendor-managed inventory, integrated supply solutions, an integrated maintenance, repair and operation (MRO) solution, and business process management solutions, according to the press release.
“It is always my intent to find innovative ways to increase the overall value proposition to our customers when it comes to integrated supply and tail spend,” GIS Founder and Chairman Marc Benmeridja said in the release. “We are very excited about this partnership, as it helps us leverage each other’s strengths to deliver increased value to our customers while also boosting our overall engagement both from footprint expansion and financial outlook of GIS.”
PYMNTS research has found that chief financial officers (CFOs) and other financial professionals are examining how automating their supply chains could help break down some of their organizations’ cash flow barriers.
This finding comes at a time when one study estimates that approximately 40% of procurement duties can be automated, as reported in the “Corporate Spend Playbook,” a PYMNTS and Airbase collaboration.
Taking a closer look at how such technologies may benefit their firms should be a top priority for company executives and accounts payable (AP) teams, according to the report.
