Businesses today are facing increasing pressure to digitize and automate their processes to save time and money. For B2B companies, digital paperwork can be especially helpful in facilitating payments, settling invoices and managing cash flow.
But for companies to be able to successfully benefit from a digital workflow, they must have the capabilities not only to adopt e-documents, but to organize and track them.
Data Interchange on Friday (June 19) revealed a new dashboard that aims to make organization of digital files easier for the B2B sector. According to a press release, the new dashboard integrates into Data Interchange’s existing Dinet Integration Network to provide tools for file exchange, data transformation and security, and overall workflow visibility in a single program for companies.
“This is a major update to Dinet to provide our customers with greater visibility and control of their business processes,” said Data Interchange Marketing Director Ieuan Friend. “Visibility of business data reduces business risk and helps our customers improve their operations and eliminate inefficiencies.”
The new solution from the electronic data interchange service provider allows business customers to gain greater visibility into the flow and exchange of electronic documents. Companies can receive alerts based on customized preferences, for example if a crucial document has not been received on time. The new service supports these alerts via text message, email and iPhone notification, reports said.
While companies are often in need of software and digital platforms to help them manage their cash flow and finances, Data Interchange’s latest venture addresses another issue of workplace digitization. In addition to helping companies strengthen communication with members of their supply chain, the company added that the platform allows businesses to improve their existing procure-to-pay processes and streamline collaboration between procurement partners.
