Chase Payment Solutions will be offering payroll solutions to its business payments customers via a new partnership with payroll and HR software company Gusto.
By combining payments, banking and payroll into a single, integrated platform, Chase aims to become a one-stop-shop for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) seeking financial solutions, the companies said in a Thursday (Sept. 14) press release.
Through Gusto Embedded, a platform for software developers, Chase Payment Solutions will be able to offer a simplified and streamlined payroll experience to its customers, according to the release. The integration of Gusto’s payroll services will enable businesses to easily run payroll, calculate and withhold taxes, file with relevant agencies and create paystubs for employees. Employees will also have access to a secure portal where they can self-onboard, view pay stubs and access tax documents.
“We have been exploring ways to introduce best-in-class payroll services to our SMB customers,” Jessica Young, managing director and head of product at Chase Payment Solutions, said in the release. “Building payroll at national scale requires deep knowledge and understanding. With Gusto Embedded, we are able to decrease the time to offer a leading payroll service while increasing the value we’re able to deliver to our customers.”
Gusto has processed over two-thirds of a trillion dollars in payroll for hundreds of thousands of employers across the United States, according to the press release. With over 10 years of experience processing payroll for more than 300,000 businesses in all 50 states, the company has gained expertise in handling unexpected scenarios and ensuring compliance at scale.
This compliance expertise enables Gusto to navigate various tax regulations at the federal, state and local levels that are involved with payroll, the release said. Additionally, Gusto Embedded offers pre-built user interface flows and features like payroll transfers, making it easier for businesses to transition from their previous payroll providers.
In another recent development in the payroll space, BambooHR said Tuesday (Sept. 12) that it has added a payroll solution to its suite of human resources (HR) and benefits administration solutions. This product automates tedious tasks, streamlining the payroll process and reducing processing time.
A week earlier, on Sept. 5, HiBob and Papaya Global partnered to offer a solution that unifies HR and payroll management for multinational companies. The integration of their capabilities will enable customers to automatically sync HR data, eliminating the need for time-consuming manual processes.
