By now, the market knows that Uber is just as relevant to business travelers as it is to everyday consumers. And Uber knows it, too. The company has introduced new features to its on-demand ride-sharing app to help corporate travelers adopt its services more easily, including the introduction of the corporate profile, allowing business travelers to switch between their personal profile and a profile that tracks Uber use while on business trips.
This week, reports said Uber went a step further to ease friction for business travelers. Now, business travelers can connect a corporate card to their business profile, meaning they can choose which card to which their trips are charged.

The new feature also allows business users to have receipts sent directly to a business email when using the business profile.
What’s more, the company will also automatically generate reports for a week or month from the use of a business profile for the purpose of easing the creation of an expense report. This report can be customized with added memos or project codes, reports said.
The features have already debuted for users across the globe, but Uber said it will be adding more corporate travel-focused features to streamline these services.
Uber has been climbing the ranks among corporate travelers for some time. But, for the first time since Uber launched, the company surpassed traditional taxi use among business travelers. Separately, more recent data suggests this trend will continue, with certain geographical markets suggesting that Uber is even surpassing the rental car market for business travelers, too.
