NCR Corporation, a consumer transaction technologies provider, announced on Thursday (June 23) that it released a new and more secure version of its transaction processing solution, Authentic.
NCR also said that the latest version of Authentic is the first major payments platform to be compliant with the PA-DSS 3.1 standard.
“From its inception, Authentic was built to deliver the ultimate balance of configurability and ease of use. The new release delivers even greater flexibility for users when orchestrating transaction processing, ensuring they have a system that can meet their needs both for today and for a rapidly changing and uncertain future,” Steve Nogalo, VP and GM of payments solutions at NCR, said in a press release.
“In addition, the changes we have made to the card production functionality in this version, and our future plans in this area, will make choosing Authentic an even easier decision for financial institutions who need a system that is designed from the ground up to meet the challenges they face every day,” Nogalo added.
The Authentic transaction processing platform now has more than 55 new features and improvements, designed with the goal to keep customers in control of their payments environments.
The new software’s compliance with the PA-DSS 3.1 standard is part of the wider compliance for the NCR Payment Suite and can be used to support a full range of payment applications. This includes being used as a payment gateway, enabling consumer payment service hubs or omnichannel systems and driving major ATM and POS devices.
Earlier this year, NCR shared the news that its Epsilon payments application received EMV certification from First Data. As a result of the certification, NCR’s Epsilon and Connected Payments Gateway will now be able to process credit and debit EMV transactions for both the Radiant POS and StorePoint POS solutions.
