MYOB Integrates eInvoicing Solution Into ERP

MYOB, which offers ERP solutions for larger companies in Australia and New Zealand, has inked a deal to integrate an electronic invoicing solution to its platform.

The firm will include expensemanager Software products into its ERP service, the companies announced on Thursday (oct. 6), as they make an effort to reduce the burden of manual invoice data collection for accounts payable professionals.

“This integration delivers a one-click integration from expensemanger to MYOB Advanced customers, meaning accounts payable staff no longer have to manually re-key in expense or invoice data,” expensemanager Founder and CEO Sharon Nouh said in a statement.

The expensemanager offering also includes a way to digitize employee expense claims by automating data collection from commercial card transactions and offering a mobile app with data capture technology for receipt management. When it comes to supplier invoices, expensemanager said it provides an automated solution to capture data from the documents and integrate that information into the MYOB Advanced platform.

“We’re thrilled to welcome expensemanager to our ecosystem with its cloud expense and invoice management tools for businesses,” stated MYOB API Evangelist Keran McKenzie in a statement. “MYOB is all about helping businesses succeed by developing tools that make business life easier, and with the integration between expensemanager and MYOB Advanced, businesses are really cutting down on manual data entry and saving hours of time.”

The companies added that their partnership helps to fill the gap in automated accounting services for Australia and New Zealand mid-market firms.

MYOB took that effort to task earlier this year with the launch of its own new solutions. The company launched its Connected Practice initiative last February to help its SME clients connect their accountants to customers. The move, the company said, was also part of a plan to streamline the units and services offered under the MYOB brand.

In addition to product development and partnerships, MYOB has also expanded its offering through strategic acquisitions. Last year, the company revealed its third payroll takeover with the purchase of Information Management Services, which followed deals to buy PayGlobal and Ace Payroll.
