One-day shipping? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Amazon Prime is now introducing one- and two-hour delivery of Amazon goods, as well as healthy and organic foods from Sprouts Farmers Market to Denver. For Amazon Prime members, this superfast option doesn’t even break the bank.
Called “Prime Now,” the speedy service is only available to Amazon Prime members, and only in 30 U.S. cities (so far). But the grocery program is expanding rapidly to more.
Amazon’s partnership with Denver’s Sprouts Farmers Market supermarket enables Amazon Prime customers to order seasonal and organic grocery such as produce, fresh meat and seafood, baked goods and natural vitamins just as easily as milk, paper towels and Amazon devices ordered directly from the eCommerce giant’s app or website.
“We are thrilled to offer Sprouts’ healthy and affordable products to Denver customers through Amazon Prime Now,” said Shawn Gensch, Sprouts’ chief marketing officer. “This new offering brings fresh, natural and organic products to customers to help them on their healthy-living journey.”
Amazon Prime members who want to take advantage of Prime Now can download the app on iOS or Android smart devices, place the grocery order on Amazon’s dedicated Prime Now page (which also tracks delivery status), or shop by voice by asking Alexa to order something from Prime Now.
Grocery Deliveries are made between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Two-hour grocery delivery is free, and one-hour delivery costs $7.99. Though it’s not breaking the bank, the price point definitely reinforces the idiom that “time is money.”
