Make Money On Twitter? Chirpify Says You Can

    Portland, Ore.-based Chirpify says it is providing businesses with “a simple way to turn Tweets into transactions.”

    “Purchases and donations are as simple as replying to a Tweet: ‘@favoritebrand Buy,’ or ‘@politician Donate,’ for example,” an official statement from Chirpify explains. The company will connect users directly to PayPal accounts to facilitate quick and easy transactions over the micro-messaging service.

    Chirpify’s product development was supported by $50,000 in seed money provided by Upstart Labs, an accelerator also based in Portland. Greg Rao, Upstart’s CEO, calls Chirpify’s creation “an effective and elegant platform to deliver actual ROI based on revenue” for Twitter users.
