Major eCommerce retailers are increasingly concerned about fulfillment and shipping heading into the holiday season, TechCrunch reported on November 24.
A spokesperson for Amazon Marketplace told the report that faster shipping is top of mind for the company, as evidenced by its move to team with the U.S. Postal Service for Sunday shipping. eBay told the report it is looking to expand its click-and-collect and same-day delivery options.
Both Amazon and eBay also indicated deals and incentives will play a bigger role this year. eBay, in particular, will look to incentivize its newest omnichannel services, while Amazon plans to launch deals every 10 minutes on Black Friday.
