WIISE, the FinTech joint venture between Microsoft and KPMG Australia, will go global in 2019, the companies announced in a press release issued Tuesday (July 17), also revealing their next B2B product resulting from their strategic partnership.
Microsoft, KPMG Australia and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) first announced the creation of WIISE in May. The solution provides small business joint customers with a holistic business management offering, including payroll, accounting, banking, inventory and other back-office functions.
KPMG Australia partner and WIISE Executive Director John Munnelly in a statement, “Our SME clients have told us that a solution that can deliver analytics-driven performance tools across a range of operational areas, and that can keep pace with their growth trajectory, will clearly deliver a competitive advantage. We believe this solution fits the bill.”
“As businesses mature, they need business applications that make their business simpler to run and faster to grow, but without the complexity of deploying large, expensive ERP solutions,” added Alysa Taylor, corporate vice president of Microsoft Business Applications and Industry. “With WIISE, we’ve brought together CBA’s strength in financial services, KPMG expertise in business consulting, and the technology platform of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to offer a business management solution that can scale and grow.”
WIISE’s global plans were announced as part of the Microsoft-KPMG Digital Solution Hub’s latest announcements, which include the rollout of another solution: a healthcare data analytics platform for industry players. Dubbed KPMG Azure healthcare analytics, the platform will provide performance and security solutions for healthcare firms that safeguard patient data under U.S. HIPAA regulations.
Bharat Rao, Ph.D. — KPMG data and analytics leader for Healthcare & Life Sciences, and partner with KPMG in the U.S. — noted in a statement, “With our Azure-based healthcare analytics platform, organizations can experience the benefits of a cloud-driven solution featuring the security and controls required for compliance with HIPPA and PHI regulations, and accelerate time to value from their investments in the cloud.”
