Funds-transfer company MoneyGram on April 28 announced a deal in which U.S. consumers in May may begin sending transfers using PicomoPay’s Facebook application to more than 336,000 MoneyGram agent locations in 200 countries.
Social and mobile-payments platform PicomoPay enables consumers to conduct person-to-person payments funded by their PicomoPay Digital Wallet, and they may buy and send virtual gift cards on Facebook. Its remittances are accepted in more than 200 countries.
“Our alignment with MoneyGram provides an extensive global network that allows consumers to transfer funds to their loved ones securely and easily,” PicomoPay spokesperson Shoko Tsuji said in the announcement of the agreement.
MoneyGram announces its quarterly earnings on April 29.
