POS Portal, a U.S. based provider of hardware and software POS solutions, announced a partnership with Powa Technologies. Together, the pair will bring the PowaPOS Mobile and Tablet Point of Sale platform to merchants in the payments and POS software industries.
Nearly half of all point of sale installed bases will be mobile (mPOS) solutions by 2019, according to ABI research. Therefore, today’s payments resellers and software providers must find a fast and scalable hardware solution to support mPOS go-to-market strategies.
Addressing this challenge, POS Portal, a U.S. based provider of hardware and software POS solutions, announced a partnership with Powa Technologies. Together, the pair will bring the PowaPOS Mobile and Tablet Point of Sale platform to merchants in the payments and POS software industries.
Powa Technologies earlier unveiled PowaPOS, a platform designed to seamlessly group EMV readiness, printer, barcode scanner, tablet mount, and USB expansion ports into one device. POS Portal provides mPOS solutions to merchants, offering online ordering interfaces, purchase and lease options, and managed replacement service options. The mPOS hardware can also be up and running in two weeks.
“Putting together a merchant [mPOS] hardware offer must be done quickly, but also in a scalable way,” said PowaPOS CEO Jeff Dumbrell. “POS Portal knows how to enable success; they have the partner network, the resources, the technology, and the infrastructure necessary to execute anyone’s next-gen deployment strategy.”
