Americans holding more than one “rewards” card that offer discounts and cash back for different types of purchases can easily get lost between platforms. Maybe they can remember they have a card they should always buy gas on, while another one should be used at grocery stores, but busy people can find the rigors of actually remembering which card is used where quite trying.
CreditCards.com in partnership with Wallaby Financial is developing a new app to help consumers keep all of those rewards programs in order.
The WalletUp mobile app will allow consumers to mazimize their rewards programs by helping consumers, particularly those with multiple cards, to streamline their programs and better keep track of them.
After placing information into the phone app such as which credit cards they use and how and where they typically use them, consumers are directed to answer several questions about their favorite types of rewards.
The app then makes recommendations according to the customer’s profile on which credit cards will lead to the most rewards. It also shows how much more money needs to be spent to attain a particular reward.
