Trulioo Names Matt Schatz As Chief Revenue Officer

Trulioo Names Matt Schatz Chief Revenue Officer

Global identity verification company Trulioo said Tuesday (Jan. 12) that Matt Schatz will serve as its chief revenue officer. Schatz will report to President and CEO Steve Munford and head up the firm’s revenue-generating departments to help fuel its “next phase of hyper-growth” in his new role, according to an announcement emailed to PYMNTS.

“We’re thrilled that Matt is joining us in this pivotal role, and we look forward to his global enterprise sales leadership that will accelerate growth, expand our strategic partnerships and enhance customer engagement globally,” Munford said in the announcement.

Schatz served as the chief revenue officer of Cosential before joining Trulioo. At Cosential, he built out and ran the sales strategy for the enterprise, small to mediumsized business (SMB) and channel segments. Unanet purchased Cosential in October of last year, the announcement stated.

Schatz had also worked for six years as senior vice president of Global Sales at WP Engine, where he expanded the organization to more than 150 individuals and rolled out sales offices in Brisbane and London. He served in different global sales leadership roles with Rackspace for a decade, where he grew yearly revenue from $3 million to $900 million and oversaw its initial public offering (IPO), according to the announcement.

“I’m excited to collaborate with the Trulioo leadership team to build out strategies and plans that will catalyze revenue growth while helping the company stay on track with its mission of delivering financial inclusion and broadening our services for verifiable digital identities globally,” Schatz said in the announcement.

The news comes as Trulioo added Leigh Ramsden as its new chief financial officer in November.

Trulioo provides organizations with safe access to the GlobalGateway marketplace of data sources to help meet know your customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements, decrease fraud risk, and bolster trust and safety on the web, according to the announcement.

GlobalGateway, which is available via one application programming interface (API) connection, fuels immediate identity and business verification for 5 billion individuals and 330 million firms in over 195 nations throughout the globe, the announcement stated.
