PNC Strikes Deal To Buy Payment Gateway Firm Tempus Technologies

PNC Bank N.A. said on Wednesday (Jan. 27) that it has struck a definitive deal to buy payment gateway provider Tempus Technologies, Inc. The purchase is “subject to legal close” and would grow PNC Treasury Management’s payment platform, letting business customers handle their receivables and payables via one channel covering all rails, according to an announcement.

OANDA Teams With Currencycloud For X-Border Money Transfers

To provide a new cross-border money transfer offering to North American businesses, OANDA has teamed with cross-border solutions provider Currencycloud. The new offering, which is known as OANDA FX Payments, has been made possible via a joint effort with foreign exchange (FX) consultants Shift Connect, according to a Wednesday (Jan. 27) announcement.

Mooncard, Flying Blue Team Up For New Corporate Travel Benefits

Mooncard, which works in smart corporate cards, is rolling out a new strategic partnership with loyalty program Flying Blue, a press release says. Flying Blue is the loyalty program for the Air France-KLM group, the release says. Because of that, Mooncard is now the first corporate card program from France to allow companies and employees to accumulate miles for personal use through paying with a Mooncard product.

Check Launches With $35 Million To Streamline Payroll

Payroll infrastructure startup Check, which purports to simplify the payroll process, launched publicly Wednesday (Jan. 27) with $35 million in Series B funding, according to a press release. Stripe and Thrive Capital contributed to the round, the release stated. With the close of the round, Check has now raised $44 million to date since its formation in 2019. The new funding will be used to grow the team, the release stated.

i2c Announces Processing Partnerships, Product Launches

Digital payment and banking technology provider i2c on Wednesday (Jan. 27) announced partnerships and product launches with ArchaCommunity Bank of the Chesapeake (CBTC) and Credit Sesame, according to a press release. The company said in the release that these collaborations are all emblematic of the ways modern issuing-processing platforms have changed the game in terms of ways to use credit cards.
