Paymerang and Harris ERP have partnered to provide advanced invoice and payment automation solutions to local governments.
With this collaboration, Paymerang’s accounts payable (AP) automation tools will be delivered to hundreds of local governments via Harris ERP’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, CitySuite, the companies said in a Tuesday (May 7) press release.
“It’s a privilege to be able to serve [Harris ERP’s] customers and provide best-in-class solutions for government finance professionals who need these tools to be able to operate effectively in 2024 and beyond,” Paymerang CEO Nasser Chanda said in the release.
Automating the AP process will allow government finance teams to reduce the time they currently spend on manual AP tasks by 84%, according to the release.
The solution provided by this partnership will also help these local governments protect taxpayer money from the growing risks of fraud, the release said.
Together with the technology, government finance team using this solution will be supported by fraud experts who will monitor their payments and data to mitigate against loss, per the release.
“We believe that combining CitySuite, our robust enterprise resource planning software, with Paymerang’s cutting-edge invoice and payment automation solution will help customers streamline their financial processes and drive operational success,” Kory Logan, executive vice president of Harris ERP, said in the release.
PYMNTS Intelligence has found that full automation of AP and accounts receivable (AR) processes allows organizations to cut labor costs, reduce the occurrence of errors and process high volumes of transactions swiftly.
AP automation also delivers higher vendor satisfaction. Among mid-sized businesses that have embraced full AP automation, 70% attest to heightened satisfaction, according to “Accounts Payable and Receivable Trends: What’s Next in Automation,” a PYMNTS Intelligence and American Express collaboration.
Paymerang added a Receivables Automation product to its line of finance automation solutions in December. This product simplifies AR and provides businesses with real-time insights into cash flow.
“The addition of the Receivables Automation product exemplifies our mission to provide CFOs and finance teams with cutting-edge solutions that drive efficiency and improve financial outcomes,” Chanda said at the time in a press release.
