Ascensor, a digital agency based in Leeds, England, announced Tuesday (March 29) that it has acquired eCommerce specialist firm Audere Commerce.
This acquisition is Ascensor’s third in the past 12 months, marking the agency’s rapid expansion.
In its announcement, Ascensor Managing Director Andrew Firth said the deal was exciting and showed “an opportunity to build further our eCommerce client base. We will be able to extend the range of services offered to the new clients.”
Firth added that the skills of Audere Commerce would compliment the company’s strengths, as Audere specializes in eCommerce software and has developed a specialty for B2B eCommerce.
“We’ll be able to provide the new clients with marketing services, and they’ll benefit from our focus on conversion rate optimisation that helps website owners to generate the maximum possible value from their digital assets and grow through return on investment,” Firth said.
He continued that the company has a big focus on conversion in a variety of ways, including sales, leads, savings or brand recognition. The firm has been around for 14 years, building up various clients, and the acquisition brings Ascensor’s digital specialist headcount to 41.
In the announcement, Audere Commerce Managing Director James Withers said the Audere Commerce team was “very much looking forward to joining a larger, more established digital agency.”
PYMNTS wrote that companies looking to garner more website traffic must capture their interest and give them reasons to stay. For example, many automotive dealers use stock images, but those don’t always show the cars they have on the lot and aren’t things the visitor can interact with.

“This is the age of TikTok. People like something that’s interactive, something they can connect with,” Tej Soni, CEO of izmocars, told PYMNTS when sharing that data.
Izmocars recently announced a rollout for a CGI-powered virtual showroom experience, which can be embedded in auto dealer sites.
