Consumer behavior prediction platform Neurons has acquired rivals VisualEyes and Loceye in a move that will expand Neurons’ artificial intelligence (AI) product to better predict human emotions and sentiments.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, according to a Monday (April 11) press release.
The acquisitions give Neurons a competitive advantage that will result in elevating the accuracy of its customer prediction platform, per the release. Additionally, the acquisitions will give the combined company 35,000 new clients, as well as a projected 1,000 additional customers every month.
“Neurons will be continuing the work that Loceye and VisualEyes have started by integrating their technology into our platform. Just like VisualEyes, Neurons has its own AI, Predict, that forecasts attention and cognition on visual assets,” Neurons said in another company post regarding the acquisitions.

Predict is a cloud-based AI that predicts customer responses such as attention, emotion and cognition. Neurons’ product suite also offers Explore, which is a remote neuroscience user testing platform, and Research, a “bespoke, full-scale neuroscience research solution that also lies at the core of all our SaaS products.”
Headquartered in Taastrup, Denmark, and founded by Thomas Ramsøy in 2013, Neurons applies neuroscience tools and insights to help businesses better understand unconscious and conscious responses. The startup said it uses state-of-the-art technology to devise new solutions and develop the best practices for gaining insight into consumers’ minds and behaviors.
“With this acquisition, we will be focusing on further developing and expanding our AI product to predict human emotions and sentiments — foreseeing how people feel at consumer touchpoints,” Neurons said in the release.
“By integrating VisualEyes’ AI models and the technologies utilized by Loceye, such as webcam eye tracking and face tracking, Neurons’ products will offer an additional level of usability and give brands a strong competitive edge. Accuracy will increase, as will the speed at which new predictive AI models are created.”
