When it comes to restaurant and grocery aggregators, DoorDash is winning by a long shot, according to this month’s edition of PYMNTS’ Provider Ranking of Aggregators.
The ranking uses a proprietary combination of publicly available information plus app usage data to which PYMNTS has access to determine which apps are pulling ahead and which are losing steam.
The Top 5
DoorDash continued its tenure in the No. 1 spot, maxing out with 100 points.
Uber Eats also remained at No. 2, with a significantly lower 90 points, trailed by Instacart, which held its place at No. 3 with 81 points.
Just Eat held onto its spot at No. 4, where it is now tied with its U.S. subsidiary Grubhub, which leaped up from its seventh place ranking last month, gaining seven points to reach a score of 80.
Swiggy and Zomato held steady at No. 5, scoring 77, but this month they are joined by previous sixth place pick Deliveroo.
The Top 10
Glovo jumped up from No. 8 to No. 6, scoring 72.
Similarly, SkipTheDishes and Menulog leaped from No. 9 to No. 7, with scores of 68, and Talabat got upgraded from No. 10 to No. 8, scoring 60.
Joining the top 10 ranks were Foodora, coming in at No. 9 with a score of 59, and Postmates, closing out the ranking at No. 10, receiving less than half the possible number of points with its score of 49.
Check back next month to see which restaurants can hold onto these gains and which will slip back down in the next edition of PYMNTS’ Provider Ranking of Aggregators.
