As Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) concluded last week, we saw a myriad of new product and service announcements from the tech giant.
Aside from the latest Apple Watch or MacBook Pro updates, Apple also announced a significant change to its App Store policy updates as it relates to the in-app tipping option. Whereas users were able to make voluntary tipping inside apps, this has now been moved to a more formalized process of in-app purchases. With this new route, Apple now has the power to take a 30 percent cut for itself.
As Apple looks to tighten up what were once loose regulations for its App Store policies, it also unveiled a new blog-style description page section that details in-app purchase listings for its users. This makes it easier for users playing app games to locate virtual highly sought-after items.
