Apple Fitness+ is on the verge of officially rolling out, and instructors are using Instagram to tease new workout models, a report from 9to5Mac says.
The report shares several Instagram posts from trainers promising that they “can’t wait to share” their new styles of workouts with users.
Announced last September, Apple Fitness+ is a workout class subscription service powered through Apple Watch, purporting to offer workouts such as cycling, treadmill, rowing, HIIT, strength, yoga, dance and more, the report says.
The tech giant says new workouts would be released weekly and Apple Music will play a role, offering a curated playlist from the trainers.
With several Instagram images of said instructors, the company still has no official release date — but then again, the limited time left in 2020 gives way to the likelihood of a next-year release. But 9to5Mac says the instructor push could indicate a sooner date, along with the way the current watch0S7.2 Beta refers to Apple Fitness+ as a new feature on the update. In addition, the iOS 14.3 beta also makes a brief mention of the tech, the report says.
The 9to5Mac report says Apple Fitness+ will be available through the Fitness app on the iPhone running iOS 14. The workouts will also be available from the Apple Watch, and the tech giant is looking to add an app for the Apple TV, the report says. The service will cost $9.99 per month or $79.99 for the year.
In September, as Apple announced Apple Fitness+ alongside a slew of other new options including a new Apple Watch, PYMNTS posited the question if the new options, centered on a jamboree of fitness, music and other options, would be enough to draw in new users. The new options do include a health pitch, with the Apple Watch’s ability to monitor blood oxygen levels and cardio fitness, other new features are aimed at helping kids with virtual schooling needs, all of it able to be used independently from a phone.
