Dr Seema Gaur as an officer of the Indian Economic Service has 36 years of experience in key Economic Ministries of the Government of India, and regulatory bodies. She joined the Competition Commission of India (CCI) in 2009 as Economic Adviser, when the implementation of Competition Law started. For about seven years, she played a critical role in capacity building at CCI, exposure to international best practices and foster ing cooperation with the key jurisdictions as well as international organizations. She was the lead negotiator for the “Competition” Chapter in negotiations for Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) for several rounds. She has presented papers in many international conferences; published papers in peer reviewed journals and chapters in books published by reputed international publishers on key economic issues including competition regulation and digital economy.
