BoomerangFX has tapped Stripe to enable integrated payments within its clinic management platform.
This move will add Stripe’s payment platform to BoomerangFX’s platform for aesthetic medical practices that include noninsured, private pay segments like dermatology, cosmetic surgery, medical spa, cosmetic dentistry and women’s health, the companies said in a Tuesday (March 7) press release.
“With the entrance of 80 million millennials to the already engaged 80 million baby boomers, there is a new generation consuming aesthetic medical services — they have distinct preferences for convenience, accessibility and flexibility including desiring the convenience of both online and in-person shopping experiences,” BoomerangFX CEO Jerome Dwight said in the release. “Our goal is to provide our clients with innovative tools that help keep their patients engaged and returning for repeat treatments.”
PYMNTS research has found that patient portals are now table stakes and that 61% of the patients who are interested in using patient portals said they would switch to a healthcare provider that has one.
To better engage and retain consumers throughout the patient journey, healthcare providers must provide digital solutions to address patients’ needs for critical health-related information and frictionless administrative tasks, according to “Accessing Healthcare: Easing Digital Frictions in the Patient Journey,” a PYMNTS and Experian Health collaboration.
The report also found that 27% of patients would use digital wallets to pay their healthcare providers if these options were available.
With the integration of Stripe, users of the Boomerang platform will see faster payment processing, increased security and omnichannel payment options, according to the press release.
The enhanced offering will first be rolled out in Canada and the United States and will then be expanded globally later in 2023, the release said.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with BoomerangFX to provide their growing roster of clients with a seamless payment processing experience,” Stripe General Manager for Canada James Lambe said in the release. “Our commitment to simplifying and securing payments for businesses of all sizes aligns with BoomerangFX values and expertise.”
Stripe expects to process $1 trillion in payment volume this year, up from the $800 billion it processed in 2022, Bloomberg reported in February.
