Weave, an all-in-one experience platform for small and medium-sized healthcare businesses, has partnered with payment network Affirm to provide flexible payment options for eligible patients.

By integrating Affirm’s pay-over-time options with Weave’s patient experience platform, the partnership benefits patients and also allows healthcare practices to receive payments more quickly, the companies said in a Tuesday (Sept. 26) press release.

Branden Neish, chief product and technology officer at Weave, said in the release: “A smooth and efficient payment process can help to create a positive patient experience, build trust and encourage repeat business, which is why we are excited to partner with Affirm.”

With the integration of Affirm’s payment options, Weave customers can now offer their patients pay-over-time financing with as low as 0% APR, according to the release. Patients can apply to pay with Affirm in a matter of seconds, spreading out their payments over time and easing the burden of upfront costs. This additional payment option is available for dental, optometry, veterinary or medical practices.

By expanding the payment options available to patients, Weave and Affirm aim to remove barriers to care and ensure that everyone has access to the healthcare services they require, the release said. The partnership reflects the shared commitment of both companies to make patients’ payment experience more seamless and revolutionize the way healthcare practices handle payments.

In addition to benefiting patients, the partnership offers advantages for healthcare practices, per the release. By integrating Affirm’s payment options directly with Weave’s platform, healthcare practices can meet the growing demand from patients for pay-over-time financing.

“Patients are eager to pay over time without junk fees, late fees or compounding interest, and now these businesses can address that demand,” Wayne Pommen, chief revenue officer at Affirm, said in the release.

The partnership comes on the heels of three other recent additions to the payment suite offered by Weave. These include a QR code-based Scan to Pay feature launched in August, a Mobile Tap to Pay option added in July and a link-centered online bill pay feature introduced in May.
