If you’re looking for underwriting, we have a list of high scorers who may be able to help. This month’s edition of the PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Insurance Apps includes a dozen contenders who’ve earned spots in the Top 10.
It’s been a tough competition. After recording several tie scores and squeezing 16 apps into the Top 10 last month, the latest Provider Ranking of Insurance Apps sees the field winnowed down to 12.
The Top Five
At the top of the list, we have a tie between the two companies who shared this spot last month too: GEICO Mobile — Car Insurance and Progressive. Each has again earned a score of 100.
Holding the No. 2 spot, with a score of 91, is State Farm. This app was ranked second last month as well.
Close behind, with a score of 89, is Allstate Mobile. This app shared the No. 2 spot last month but has inched down to No. 3.
Ranked fourth is USAA Mobile, which was in the third position last time around. This app improved its score by four points since last time but slips one spot in the rankings among this competitive group.
Continuing the trend, Jerry: Car Insurance steps down one level from last month and now sits at No. 5.
The Top 10
Reflecting the movement in the Top Five, the second tier of contenders in this month’s rankings has seen a lot of shifts as well. Bumped out of their previous positions, these apps have moved down two or three levels in the rankings but have again earned spots among the Top 10.
Sitting at sixth in the rankings is the Liberty Mutual Mobile app. This app has slid down three positions from where it was last time.
Similarly, Lemonade Insurance has dipped two spots, from the fifth position last time to No. 7 in this month’s rankings.
Safeco Mobile, too, has slipped two spots in the rankings and now rests at No. 8.
Continuing the trend, Travelers Mobile appears three positions lower on the list than last time, now ranking ninth. This app added three points to the score it had last time but got bumped by the higher-ranking contenders.
Rounding out this month’s Top 10, we have a tie. Esurance Mobile and Farmers Insurance Mobile, the two apps that shared the seventh rank last time, now share the No. 10 spot.
