Intuit has partnered with Allstate Health Solutions to provide expanded insurance options for small businesses using QuickBooks Online Payroll.
The collaboration between QuickBooks and Allstate Health Solutions reflects QuickBooks’ vision to offer businesses and their employees a comprehensive human capital management platform, the global technology platform said in a Tuesday (Nov. 14) press release. The goal is to help businesses easily manage their work, pay and benefits in one place, saving time for busy business owners.
Through this partnership, QuickBooks Online Payroll customers will have access to a specially designed online portal to research and purchase insurance plans, according to the release. Additionally, they will have the support of a team of Allstate Health Solutions benefits advisors who will help them build the right plan for their business and employees.
One of the key benefits of this integration is the seamless synchronization of deductions with QuickBooks Payroll, the release said. This eliminates the risk of errors and saves employers the hassle of making manual adjustments every time there is a change in employee deductions.
Allstate Health Solutions will offer a wide range of insurance options for QuickBooks customers, including small and large group private plans, customizable high-deductible plans, and various Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options, per the release. This diversity ensures that employers can find the best-suited plan for their specific needs.
In addition to health insurance, Allstate Health Solutions will also provide new offerings in supplemental and voluntary benefits, according to the press release. These include hospital, accident, critical illness, life, short-term/long-term disability and long-term care coverage.
Soon, it will also offer options like identity theft protection, pet insurance, legal protections, compliance insurance and various spending accounts, the release said.
In another recent expansion, Intuit unveiled QuickBooks Money in September. This all-in-one payments and banking solution “gives small businesses complete control of their money from anywhere,” the company said at the time.
Two months before that, in July, Intuit launched its new QuickBooks Workforce mobile app, saying this offering is designed to help employees of firms across the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Australia reduce administrative and payroll tasks.
