FinTechs aren’t disappointing on that count as the new PYMNTS Provider Ranking of Digital Banking Apps shows the strongest players gripping tightly to chart positions, with a few exceptions.
The Top 5
You never know what will happen month to month in app rankings, which makes the durability of many app positions in this particular Ranking somehow reassuring. See if you think so.
At No. 1 again is Chime, followed by No. 2 Nubank, with the Dave app retaining No. 3.
There are two notable changes atop this new Provider Ranking of Digital Banking Apps. First is Revolut rising one spot to No. 4, pushing challenger bank Monzo to No. 5.
The Top 10
Not much to say about the bottom half of the Top 10 digital banking apps in this update, as we find a stack of players just where we left them in the previous ranking.
Still at No. 6 is the Current mobile banking app and Visa debit card, with Starling Bank steady at No. 7, Berlin-based N26 solid at No. 8, and the Empower app sticking at No. 9.
So as not to leave with no surprises whatsoever, the Simple direct bank app backed by BBVA USA enters the Top 10 at No. 10, completing this Provider Ranking of Digital Banking Apps.
