Mobile order ahead has come to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® mobile app, “The Coffee Bean Rewards® app,” which powers rewards and loyalty features as well as the new mobile-ordering option.
When customers want coffee, they don’t want to stand in a long line; they need their caffeine fix. That’s the beauty of mobile ordering, because they can order the coffee to be ready for pickup as soon as they walk through the door.
Aidan Hay, senior vice president of operations at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, said in a press release,”When people want coffee or tea, they want it now and we want their orders to be ready when they are.”
But according to the press release, the new feature from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® isn’t just about ordering from afar. The app is integrated with Uber so that customers can simply tap a button within the app to request a ride to the nearest store location.
Using the feature will not only afford customers a shorter wait time, but will also provide rewards points and unique discounts that they couldn’t earn by other means. Guests may also continue to earn points and free drinks by traditional means, such as referring friends or simply receiving special offers from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® to say “Thanks for being our customer!”
Like most mobile-ordering platforms, this one requires a one-time sign-up — wherein the customer downloads the store’s mobile-rewards app from Apple’s App Store or Google Play, creates an account and includes their preferred payment method. Then, when they want to get a coffee, all they have to do is choose a store location and place an order. They are free to browse drinks, customize products, and save favorites for quick reordering as they go.
The feature has rolled out at company-owned locations in Arizona and Southern California, with franchise locations and additional geographic areas waiting in the wings for later this year.
