Identifying the Keys to Success for 3Delta Systems

How did Dan Miner go from driving a golf cart around Chicago’s O’Hare Airport selling foreign currency to overseeing business development at 3Delta Systems, one of the leading payment solutions companies?

Miner, the company’s new general manager of treasury services, previously worked at Chicago’s Northern Trust Company and National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) after getting his start in payments at the airport.

Executive Bio: Dan Miner, General Manager of Treasury Services at 3Delta Systems

3Delta Systems, Inc.® (3DSI), a leader in online credit card payment solutions, announced today that Daniel L. Miner has been appointed general manager of treasury services.

As a certified treasury professional with nearly three decades of payments industry experience, Miner will lead 3Delta Systems’ business development and help define products in the treasury management segment of the market. In that role, he will be responsible for strengthening 3DSI’s business-to-business (B2B) payments processing platform, broadening its product line for payment receivables and disbursements as well as enhancing the company’s business processes and organizational controls.

Before joining 3Delta Systems, Miner was a principal at Treasury Strategies, Inc., a leading treasury management consultancy with a “Who’s Who” of clients for whom he conducted market analyses, competitive assessments, risk mitigation, web channel optimization and product deployment.

Between 2004-2008, he served as senior director of electronic check and affiliate membership services at the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA), where he led NACHA’s two largest membership programs and led risk management initiatives for the automated clearing house (ACH) network.

Previously, he was group product manager at Paymentech, L.P. of Texas with responsibility for building a new debit payments product group. From 1981 – 2001, he held increasingly responsible management positions at Chicago’s Northern Trust Company overseeing wire transfer and ACH operations, conducting ACH product development and providing treasury management consulting services to Fortune 500 companies. Earlier in his career, Miner managed precious metals certificate and foreign currency term deposit programs for Deak International, a New York-based foreign currency and precious metals company.

Miner holds a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Illinois, where he majored in economics.
