SEPA is picking up its pace and migration will be made even easier with Ingenico and Credit Mutuel’s new card payment terminal. This is the first time that a live solution using future SEPA standards, based on a single EMV payment application (SEPA-FAST) and an open and universal card payment protocol (EPASOrg-EPAS ISO 20022 Acquirer protocol) was demonstrated publicly in the world. The Ingenico iWL250 SEPA Payment terminal successfully connected to Credit-Mutuel-CIC EPAS ISO20022 Acquirer authorisation host at the EPASOrg Annual conference in front of 100 attendees.
“Ingenico is very proud of having demonstrated with Credit-Mutuel-CIC a common SEPA solution ready for implementation and is honoured to be selected by Carrefour Banque to deploy the very first SEPA pilot. This achievement demonstrates that Ingenico is at the edge of new solutions delivery enabling international Retailers to succeed with their cost- optimisation target SEPA-wide,” declared Pierre-Antoine Vacheron, EVP, Managing Director Europe-SEPA at Ingenico.
The iWL250 will enable “Chip and PIN”, magnetic swipe, as well as contactless card transactions. Ingenico also recently launched another POS novelty: iSelf-Service – a comprehensive range of highly secure unattended payment solutions meeting the specificities of all self-service market segments.
