Here Comes EMV: Chase Paymentech to Sell Ingenico Terminals In U.S.

Chase Paymentech will begin selling Ingenico’s Telium iCT250 point”of”sale (POS) terminals to U.S. merchants, a joint release says. The Telium iCT250 is fully compliant with Visa’s Technology Innovation Program, as well as the MasterCard EMV Roadmap.

    “There are very few solutions available to merchants that can support all of the emerging payment types, and even fewer are truly operational,” says Thierry Denis, president of Ingenico, North America, in announcing the deal. The Telium iCT250 can accept payment via EMV chip card, NFC-enabled mobile phone, contactless card, or traditional magstripe card.

    Ingenico has delopyed more than 17 million terminals at the point of sale across 125 countries.
