Social Engagement Can Double Revenue Growth for eCommerce Firms

Companies that conduct eCommerce operations could see a dramatic impact on revenue growth through better social engagement, a new study suggests.

The Echo System, a firm that studies the impact of social media campaigns on financial results, ranked 500 companies based on their social engagement to evaluate social’s effect on revenue, VentureBeat notes. According to those rankings, the top five companies have experienced 45 percent revenue growth since 2010, compared to 20.4 percent for the average of the entire group.

Barney’s New York and Fossil were among the top five companies, the report says.
