Online dating service OkCupid has begun accepting Bitcoins as a payments method, according to VentureBeat.
OkCupid joins a list of online merchants such as Expensify, Reddit, WordPress and others as the virtual currency continues to gain mainstream acceptance.
“All of the OkCupid founders, including myself, believe that a digital currency will become mainstream at some point, and we want to be one of the first companies that accept Bitcoin when it is no longer a niche concept, but a standard transactional process,” said OkCupid co-founder Sam Yagan.
