A new report from Tufts University has revealed that the use of physical currency costs the U.S. economy $200 billion annually, Bloomberg Businessweek reported on September 10.

    This cost averages to $1,739 per household. The study also found that Americans spend 28 minutes each month simply getting to cash. Part-time workers and retirees spent the most time getting to their money.
