SumUp Mimics Square With “POS Box”

SumUp, a mobile payments provider, announced the rollout of SumUp Point of Sale Box, a new solution that will allow merchants to set up their POS in a shorter period of time. SumUp created this solution to help small businesses, such as café and fashion boutique merchants, to have access to a less costly and simpler POS system.

    The Point of Sale Box will encompass a pre-configured iPad, an iPad stand, a receipt printer, cash register and a wifi router. In a press release issued by the company, SumUp claimed the set up process would take less than 15 minutes and that the rental would cost €69.95 per month.
