BlazePays Visa Prepaid Card Streamlines Payroll

As part of Pipestone System’s effort to reduce costs and migrate to an electronic payroll environment, the Minnesota-based agricultural organization announced yesterday (August 6) plans to use the BlazePays Prepaid card to streamline its biweekly payroll processing for nearly 150 of its 700 employees.

As part of Pipestone System’s effort to reduce costs and migrate to an electronic payroll environment, the Minnesota-based agricultural organization announced yesterday (Aug. 6) plans to use the BlazePays Prepaid card to streamline its biweekly payroll processing for nearly 150 of its 700 employees.

“With BlazePays, our employees can better safeguard their hard-earned money,” Colette DeSchepper, accountant of Pipestone System, said in a company release.

“Using a reloadable prepaid card for payroll makes it easier for us to pay our employees but also gives them an electronic payment tool that can be used to pay bills, purchase groceries and other goods, or shop online.”

The BlazePays Prepaid card, which is managed by Capital Prepaid Services, can help companies to significantly reduce payroll costs since it is less expensive and more convenient than cutting and mailing checks.

With the BlazePays card, employees are able to carry a balance of up to $10,000. The card is also FDIC insured and includes Visa’s Zero Liability policy for lost or stolen cards. Employees are also provided with online access to any transaction data associated with the card as well as account balance information.

This information can also be easily accessed on a smartphone via the free BlazePays Mobile App.

“The BlazePays Prepaid Card allows Pipestone to better serve its geographically dispersed or unbanked employees. There is no cost to the employee for the reloadable BlazePays card, and it can be used anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted,” the company said in a statement.

“The cards are automatically reloaded each pay period, making it more convenient for employees to manage their money. It also reduces the time involved in processing Pipestone’s payroll,” the statement continued.
