With mobile solutions taking center stage of global payments today, many organizations are tapping into opportunities to provide consumers with services that traditional banks fail to offer.
Tuxedo Money Solutions, a UK-based international payments technology firm, has announced its partnership with i2c Inc., a Silicon Valley based global payments processor. According to an i2c release, the two are targeting the emerging financial sector, and will leverage their financial services knowledge and payment technologies to provide the market with practical alternatives.
“At Tuxedo we have developed an exceptionally robust and flexible payment platform, capable of operating a wide range of domestic and cross-border payments,” says John Sharman, CEO of Tuxedo Money Solutions, in the release.
“By partnering with i2c we will be able to build on our acknowledged international payments expertise to deliver a global payments platform focused on the US.”
i2c’s cloud-based platform, which the company says supports essentially any prepaid, debit or credit program, will enable Tuxedo’s launch of a suite of combined ID, loyalty and travel money cards. That, said Stephan Koukis, Senior VP Business Advisory Group at i2c, makes i2c’s platform “the perfect partner for Tuxedo’s payments technology.”
