Vodafone and Powa Technologies have paired up on a new initiative in the U.K. that allows consumers to pay at they go by topping up mobile credit using QR codes.
Through the latest partnership between the companies, consumers can use the PowaTag app in order to use their smartphones to scan QR codes that allow them to top up their payment needs without having to take the extra time to think about mobile top ups. Vodafone is currently testing a similar technology from Powa in retail stores across the U.K.
“Our customers have told us they wanted a tool that allowed them to top up swiftly at their leisure at a time which is convenient and which suits their schedule,” said Cindy Rose, consumer director, Vodafone U.K.. “Our pay as you go plans offer great value and which are affordable and flexible: with this TopUp addition we are making Vodafone the network our customers can depend on.”
