How goExW Plans To Overhaul X-Border B2B eCommerce

A new B2B eCommerce player in Hong Kong is just a few months old, but already the platform has big goals of overhauling the industry for good.

GoExW issued an announcement on Thursday (July 30) bringing the industry up-to-date on its performance since the website went into beta phase in May. “The site has already begun processing handfuls of orders for excited business buyers in the U.S.A. and Europe, and the number of visitors to the site is growing daily,” the company said.

According to its announcement, what sets the site apart from the competition is its ability to offer a vertically integrated supply chain, allowing corporate buyers to experience improved product quality, reduced prices and easier procurement sourcing from suppliers, regardless of location.

“The company believes that this unique approach will set the brand apart from existing B2B sourcing websites and prominent cross-border mass trading and B2B wholesale companies,” the firm declared.

GoExW’s goal to redesign cross-border commerce for the B2B segment stems from what it described as “a myriad of quality issues, language barriers and delays” that all pose significant barriers to procurement officials looking to purchase goods from overseas.

“Business buyers are looking for simple but effective solutions,” said goExW CEO Rick Wang. “However, most online B2B platforms present a series of complications for buyers that add costs and waste time.”

He added that online buyers are often forced to wade through high-volume, low-quality directories, with suppliers largely offering the same product at the same price with no clear distinction, making it difficult for procurement officials to make the right choice.

The platform provides a way for procurement officials to negate negotiations with suppliers and to manage quality and payment. The company did not indicate a timeline for when it may exit from beta phase.
