Opus Bank has had a busy week. On Wednesday (Jan. 6), the financial institution announced a new hire to its technology banking unit with the naming of Raed Alfayoumi as its managing director.
The news came with Opus Bank Chief Executive Officer, President and Founding Chairman Stephen H. Gordon commenting on Alfayoumi’s decades of experience in the technology and life sciences, media and telecommunications and corporate banking industries.
Just one day later, Opus announced yet another new hire, this time to strengthen its corporate banking services for the health care sector.
On Thursday, the institution named Robert Affleck as managing director of its health care banking arm.
Affleck reportedly has more than two decades in the health care banking sector, having worked in providing capital financing, treasury management and other banking services to players in the dental, medical, veterinary and other health care-related fields.
The new hire joins the bank from his most recent position as senior vice president of Citibank’s health care practice finance group, which he also helped to launch, according to reports.
