Procure-to-pay provider B2BE and OnPay, which works in payroll services, are partnering to help clients access B2B payments automation, according to a press release.
B2BE’s holistic services work for both direct and indirect spend, an omnichannel approach working to meet the suppliers at their level, at either a supplier portal, Web EDI or via email.
The solutions help to more effectively manage spend, which helps companies increase visibility, lower their risk profile and ultimately become more profitable, the press release says.
OnPay CEO and president Neal Anderson said the company’s mission “is to empower people to improve the lives of accounting departments globally.”
“We are excited to provide B2BE with additional tools to help accomplish that mission by eliminating paper-based payments in the AP process,” he said, according to the release.
Scott Shadrach, VP of sales for North America at B2BE, said the company was “keen to expand” its Procure-to-Pay solutions with OnPay’s partnership.
“As a managed services solutions provider, the B2BE team has a 20-year history of delivering a wide portfolio of digital automation product offerings to meet our clients’ back-office needs,” he said, according to the release.
Shadrach added that the company wanted to add to its AP Automation to make sure that both ends of the AP process are covered.
“B2BE offers procurement solutions for both direct and indirect spend to cover the front end of AP. With OnPay’s automated payment service, OnPayConnect™, we can now complete the end-to-end AP process,” he said, according to the release.
Anderson spoke with PYMNTS earlier this year about the challenges of switching to virtual cards over cash payments when vendors don’t always accept the v-cards. He said that shouldn’t be a deterrent. According to Anderson, the use of v-cards can help to optimize cash flow, and the hurdle of not being accepted by every vendor shouldn’t prevent adopting them.
