Restaurant management software provider Bizzon is working with payment security software service MYHSM by Utimaco to upgrade its platform.
As Vanilla Plus reports, the companies announced the partnership Tuesday (Dec. 7), saying it would replace ePOS, digital “order and pay” and the payment gateway with a single solution used by more than 2,000 businesses and processing $264 million a year.
The companies say this move is happening at a time when Bizzon is looking to expand its end-to-end software to hotel restaurants and independent restaurant chains around the world, as travel becomes more accessible.

And as PYMNTS noted earlier this month, the industry is heading into the winter facing a host of challenges, including supply chain difficulties, labor shortages and price increases.
Late last month, Darrin Harris, CEO of Jack in the Box — which operates 2,200 locations in the U.S. and Guam — said his chain expects to up its menu prices.
Earlier in November, Bloomin’ Brands, the parent of Outback Steakhouse and other casual dining chains, announced its first price hike since 2019, projecting commodity costs to increase 10% in 2022 year. And in late October, McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski said prices at his chain had risen about around 6% year over year.
Bizzon says it has already benefited from MYHSM’s cloud-based infrastructure, which has negated the need for additional time, resources and costs involved with keeping track of a physical hardware security module (HSM).
The MYHSM tool lets Bizzon remotely connect to three secure payment HSMs deployed in two different data centers, providing 99.999 percent availability. This has made Bizzon’s platform more resilient, a key requirement for the hospitality industry.
