LegalZoom.com, which works online in legal, compliance and tax solutions, is partnering with Square to get better point-of-sale (POS) payment software for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), according to a press release. The goal is to support SMB growth.
LegalZoom customers will be able to access preferential pricing on Square offerings, which can add to SMBs’ ability to manage their operations and get financing, the release stated.
“Square and LegalZoom share a mission to empower business success,” said Square Head of Solutions Partnerships and Channel Programs Eugene Tsay in the release. “We each streamline the challenging aspects of business ownership, like payment processing and compliance, so that owners of businesses of all types and sizes can focus on what they do best — their craft. We’re excited to partner with LegalZoom to help take some of the guesswork out of starting, running and growing a business.”
Meanwhile, LegalZoom Chief Partnerships Officer Kathy Tsitovich said in the release that the trust SMBs have in Square is a major factor in the partnership.
“Millions of small business owners already trust Square due to its impressive infrastructure and versatility across industries, so we’re proud to recommend their products to our customers,” she said in the release. “With this partnership, and others to come, LegalZoom customers have access to a curated ecosystem of trusted partners that can propel their business forward.”
