SAP Hong Kong, Deloitte Team On X-Border Trade Tool
Software giant SAP Hong Kong and consulting powerhouse Deloitte have partnered on an offering that they say provides substantial benefits to businesses engaged in cross-border trade, according to a press release. SAP Global Trade Services — or GTS — “helps enterprises navigate a more complex and turbulent trade environment,” the companies stated in the release. They cited COVID-19 as one factor that is making trade more difficult.
Rustic Deco Debuts B2B Wholesale Furniture Site
Rustic Deco has rolled out its new B2B wholesale furniture website, according to a press release. The site, at rusticdecob2b.com, will provide a company overview, registration instructions and wholesale portal access. It will give users access to Rustic Deco’s lineup of wholesale-priced products, such as the company’s vintage industrial furniture and decor, the release stated. The platform is only for B2B needs, offering tiered discounts for licensed interior decorators, registered interior designers and mom-and-pop stores, according to the release.
DailyPay Launches CYCLE To Disburse Off-Cycle Payments
On-demand pay platform DailyPay has rolled out its CYCLE solution, intending to help professionals handle off-cycle payroll payments, according to a press release. Off-cycle payroll payments, which happen when companies make payments outside of their usual payroll schedule, can be costly and time-consuming, the release stated. Typically, the process requires creating and sending paper checks, which can run up to $50 to overnight to the recipient.
Cygnet Infotech Updates FACE Accounting Platform
Business software maker Cygnet Infotech has updated its FACE (Financial Accounting Comprehensive and Easy) accounting software platform, according to a published report. The update to the FACE offering comes 19 months after its debut, the report stated. Cygnet Infotech promotes FACE as a product that handles not only conventional accounting processes, but also provides specialized handling of challenges around goods and services taxes. One facet of helping with compliance is the automatic recording of journal entries.
US Business Activity Expands In January
Operators of U.S. private businesses reported that 2021 is off to a good start overall, but signs of inflation are on the rise, and the jobs market outlook is somewhat gloomy, according to a press release from research firm IHS Markit. The findings were generated by IHS Markit surveys that aim to foreshadow trends that may emerge later in high-profile, official surveys.
