HSBC Unveils Cash Flow Management Tool As Pandemic Scrambles Balance Sheets
As small businesses and other companies struggle with cash flow management amid the coronavirus pandemic, HSBC wants to help. The Vancouver-based bank on Thursday (Jan. 14) rolled out a “Cash Flow Forecasting” tool through its online banking unit. The tool, which can be accessed through a single sign-on, is designed to enable businesses across the size spectrum to both “build a more accurate picture of their future finances and manage liquidity across all their accounts,” HSBC said in a press release.
TD To Buy Wells Fargo’s Canadian Direct Equipment Finance Business
The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) and Wells Fargo have unveiled a deal through which TD will buy the Canadian Direct Equipment Finance operation of Wells Fargo, which is “subject to certain closing conditions,” according to a Thursday (Jan. 14) announcement. It is anticipated that TD’s acquisition of the business will close in the first six months of this year “subject to receipt of regulatory and Competition Act approvals and clearance, and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions,” according to the announcement.
EedenBull Teams With NAB On SMB Spend Management
EedenBull, which works with payment and spend technology, has a new agreement with National Australia Bank (NAB) in which the bank will let its small and medium-sized business (SMB) users access EedenBull’s payment and spend platform, according to a report from Financial IT. EedenBull will provide its Q Business platform, which will include Q Control for the administrator and Q App for employees. There will also be payment cards from NAB, and customers will use Q Business to control spend, the report stated.
NTT DATA Teams With Conferma Pay On Virtual Payments For Lodging
NTT DATA Hong Kong Limited (NTT DATA) has teamed with Conferma Pay to bring digital payment communications to hotels, according to an announcement emailed to PYMNTS. “Partnering with Conferma Pay is a step forward in our commitment to provide travelers with a frictionless payment experience during check-in. This new integration will streamline the process considerably by reducing manual rekeying of payment data,” Akihiro Ishizuka, gead of global payments and services at NTT DATA, said in the announcement.
