B2B eCommerce platform Znode has partnered with cloud-based business tax compliance automation platform Avalara to support automated Value Added Tax (VAT) compliance, according to a Friday (Oct. 1) announcement.
“Znode understands the needs of its customers, and their Znode ecommerce platform reduces complexity for their customers in many ways,” Greg Chapman, senior vice president of partner management at Avalara, said in the company announcement.
“We understand that digitization of business processes is not an option, it is essential,” he said. “We are proud to offer fast, accurate, and easy tax compliance solutions to our shared customers.”
“Znode is thrilled to be AvaTax for VAT certified,” Znode President and CEO Rupesh Agrawal said in the announcement. “This integration further endorses Znode as a leading ecommerce platform. The partnership provides our customers with an automated method of handling more B2B and B2C VAT use cases, backed by a leading provider in this space,” he said. “This is a big step forward.”
“Together we can support our customers with VAT registration and VAT determination, as well as managing mandatory VAT returns,” said Agrawal.

In August, global eCommerce platform Digital River announced that it is teaming up with Avalara on a global tax management solution to create “a complete end-to-end solution, enabling (businesses) to scale globally without worrying about the complex tax liabilities and regulations of each local and regional market,” according to a joint announcement.
The solution covers regulations in more than 175 global markets and is now available to Digital River customers.
Avalara also recently overhauled its Avalara VAT Reporting, Avalara AvaTax for VAT and Avalara VAT Registration products to help firms comply with value-added tax (VAT) regulations for online commerce in the European Union (EU).
Avalara VAT Registration is helping companies register so they can collect VAT throughout 74 countries in the European Union, allowing them to ascertain the amount of VAT with greater accuracy.
