Financial software platform Mazepay on Thursday (June 16) announced that it has secured a pan-European payments license from the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, giving it the ability to streamline B2B purchases and expanding that type of payment across the EMEA region.
The move became official May 24, according to the Mazepay press release.
“After a long and excessive application and enrollment process, we have been granted a pan-European payments institute license by the DFSA, enabling it to handle transactions on behalf of companies to pay suppliers’ invoices directly,” the company said in the release.
The license allows Mazepay to handle customer funds and supplier connections and pay invoices directly in 27 countries in the region.
“When enterprises onboard and maintain long-tail suppliers within their own complicated legacy systems, the cost and resources required to operate increase exponentially as complexity grows,” said Søren Aabel Hammer, CEO of Mazepay, in the press release. This is exactly the problem that we at Mazepay are solving.”
Mazepay manages the flow of supplier onboarding through its Supplier Management solution, which connects to the company’s Invoice Management platform and ensures that all transactions are made with trusted parties.
