In another nod to the ever-expanding bring-it-to-me economy, DoorDash on Tuesday (Nov. 2) partnered with beauty retailer Ulta Beauty on same-day delivery from Ulta stores in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston and Boise, and plans to expand the offering across the country in 2022.
The new service, which relies on DoorDash Drive, follows an announcement by buybuy BABY and Bed Bath & Beyond that Uber Eats will now deliver baby and kids’ products and home goods along with meals from shoppers’ favorite local restaurants and alcohol from the nearby package store.

Ulta Beauty shoppers can get same-day delivery on more than 25,000 beauty products comprising cosmetics, skincare, haircare, fragrances and more.
“We see consumers looking for faster and more convenient ways to get their favorite brands delivered same-day,” said Shanna Prevé, vice president of strategic partnerships and business development at DoorDash, in the joint announcement.
“We are thrilled to partner with Ulta Beauty to power their same-day delivery experience and bring the magic of in-store shopping home for customers, during the holiday season and throughout the year,” she said.
The partnership means Ulta Beauty customers will get on-demand access to DoorDash’s Dasher fleet for their digital orders, whether they’re placed that day or ahead of time.
“As we enter our busiest time of year, Ulta Beauty could not be more thrilled about our partnership with DoorDash to conveniently deliver the joy of beauty,” said Prama Bhatt, chief digital officer at Ulta Beauty, in the joint announcement.
“This partnership represents two leaders coming together to create a new touchpoint for our guests that importantly connects our physical and digital experiences in a relevant, new way,” she said.
