The eCommerce platform Wish will use Eurora’s trade technology solutions to reduce operational costs.
Announced in a press release on Tuesday (Dec. 20), the new partnership will see Wish deploy Eurora’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered cross-border logistics and compliance software, which helps international retailers manage integration with delivery partners and cross-border tax and reporting requirements.
“Our aim is to continuously improve our operational excellence and customer experience, and we believe this partnership will play an important role in helping us better automate in key areas of the fulfillment process, translating to improved logistics performance and, ultimately, a better user experience,” Wish Chief Merchant Officer, Product Management Mauricio Monico said in the release.
Eurora founder and Group CEO Marko Lastik said, “The majority of Wish’s customers are based in the USA, Canada, South America, Europe, and Australia, where each day almost a million products are purchased across Wish’s platform. For this reason, we are expecting our engagement to help reduce the operational costs of Wish’s logistics department in those key markets.”
Founded in San Francisco in 2010, Wish blends technology and a mobile shopping approach to create a personalized shopping experience for users, per the release.
As PYMNTS reported, Wish has experienced slumping sales this year and started a major rebranding in August.

As part of its plans to turn the business around, in August Wish announced a new marketing strategy along with plans to diversify its seller base away from Chinese manufacturers, which have caused ongoing logistics and product quality headaches for the company.
“We started diversifying our merchant base a year ago and we made a lot of progress in terms of recruiting merchants from outside of China,” Wish CFO/COO Vivian Liu said in a second-quarter earnings call. “If you look at the distribution of the merchant counts in China, versus outside of China, it has changed materially,” she said.
